Meet our staff

At Pratt House we have a caring team of qualified professionals, passionate about what they do and dedicated to ensuring our residents always feel confident that they can rely on a friendly face and helping hand 24-hours a day.

We encourage visits to Pratt House so you can meet our team and get a feel of what it would be like to live here. You will be able to look around, meet other residents, find out what goes on, stay for lunch and ask any questions you may have. It is important to us that you make the right decision and are happy with your choice of new home.

We’re very proud of our home and the real community feel where people enjoy interacting with their fellow residents, families and friends. We love meeting new people and find helping them through the process of change really rewarding.

Our caring and attentive staff work with our residents and their loved ones to create a detailed care plan which ensures our residents individual health and care needs are met.

We understand how important it is to care for our residents with the dignity and respect they deserve and this is at the heart of what we do at Pratt House.

Our health and social care partners include:
- A GP who visits weekly
- District Nurses who visit daily
- Hairdressers who visit our on site salon every week
- A chiropodist who visits on request

We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with family and friends and we support residents in pursuing hobbies and interests by offering a variety of activities from in house entertainment to regular outings.

Our care home has 2 dedicated Activity Coordinators who arrange and organise a variety of opportunities for our residents to enjoy daily activities at Pratt House 7 days per week. They are supported by a group of volunteers who are happy to spare time to come and work with us here at Pratt House.

Residents preferred activities, interests and ability are discussed when they move in and an agreed plan ensures that these requests are fulfilled. Our residents’ suggestions for activities also help shape the planning process.

As well as taking time to find out residents previous hobbies and interests our team ensure that these are combined with new activities that residents may enjoy and which enhance our residents’ lifestyle, health and wellbeing. We also offer social events in the home, including themed restaurant evenings, arts and crafts, quizzes and regular entertainers.

The activity programme is changed each week so that there is always something new and interesting.
