Northwood Road is managed by Abbeyfield Kent
Our staff are incredibly dedicated to the society and its’ residents and our annual Spirit of Abbeyfield award recognises when staff go the extra mile within their job. Essentially the award is "The manifestation of the commitment to the Society which is significantly and clearly greater than could be reasonably expected in the course of one's duty or normal contact with the organisation."We launched our Care Academy in March, something designed to give training, development and general support to its own staff and to external students who are attending course at college on health and social care subjects. We are dedicated to supporting our staff and offering them the opportunity of further training and progression within our society.
Abbeyfield Kent encourages residents to maintain their hobbies and we invite them to participate in planning events and trips with us. All of our homes have a garden area and many residents enjoy maintaining the garden. As well as outings, we celebrate holidays throughout the year and enjoy garden parties and fetes during the summer months. Our staff do their best to ensure our residents can continue pursuing their hobbies whilst they stay with us.
