Life at the house

MusicAt Nicholas House care home, many of the rooms have beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. There is a large private garden which you can sit in, or enjoy from our lovely conservatory.

We provide several activities especially suitable for older people.

Activities include:

• Reminiscence therapy
• Musical movement
• Flower arranging
• Craft activities
• Trips out in the home's minibus

Our cooks provide healthy and delicious meals every day that are cooked and prepared on site. Our fully qualified cooks pride themselves on providing excellent food which is all freshly prepared, and where possible, using locally sourced produce.

Each home has an individual approach to catering for their residents, with menus being tailored to dietary needs and special events. But we always offer plenty of choices, including vegetarian options, and great portion sizes!

Meal time at an Abbeyfield is also important as it’s when the whole house gets together - a time to have a chat enjoying great food and great company.
