David Cave

David joined Grace Muriel last year, with a wealth of chef management experience. Although new to the care sector David welcomed the challenge and works alongside the Manager and Head of Care, developing seasonal menus that meet individual dietary needs. David says “ cooking is not simply a way to feed ourselves but a way of enriching our lives”.

We offer an extensive activity programme within the home, with a dedicated team of activity coordinators, who understand the importance of our residents emotional and physical well-being.

One of the things we love to do is go out on trips to a variety of places, with groups to the theatre, garden centre, parks, seaside and for lunch or maybe just taking one resident shopping.

We have many visiting entertainers, groups or specialists, such as theatre, artists and hobby groups.

Keeping active is important to our residents so they can maintain their independence. We have a wide range of exercise programs on offer and have ourown, qualified exercise instructor for the over sixties.

With a fantastic team and a wide variety of activities there is always something for everyone.

Gardening at Grace Muriel House

We have a wonderful area of the garden with raised flower/vegetable beds which is paved so residents of all abilities can continue to enjoy gardening. We have regular gardening sessions with Lesley one of Activity Coordinators and visits from a Therapeutic Horticulture group.

Our beautiful landscaped garden has seating areas in the court yard, lawn area, and summer house with views of the garden from the conservatory so residents can enjoy the garden all year round.
