Overview

George Brooker House purpose-built residential care home provides accommodation for 44 frail and elderly residents, plus  those with dementia. We also offer day care, respite care and convalescence services.

The home has several lovely features: bedroom corridors are all named, and decorated, after flowers; we have memorabilia cabinets and feature walls from Hollywood’s Golden Age; and we have a beautiful hand-painted window producing a lovely piece of artwork.

Bedrooms are either en-suite with a washroom and toilet or have a  washstand. The home has six bathrooms with assisted baths and separate toilets. Staff call buttons and support rails are located in each facility for residents’ safety and convenience.

The house has three pleasant lounges - the main one of which has a piano, looks out over our lovely garden and is the heart of our home where all our group activities take place - so there is always somewhere enjoy the company of other residents or watch television.

Our attractive and well maintained garden, complete with rose garden, rockery and water feature, has a greenhouse where residents who are interested in gardening can potter. During the summer, we often serve meals outside in the patio area, which has plenty of seating.

George Brooker House is managed by Abbeyfield East London Extra Care

Home cooking

Our elderly residents enjoy home cooked meals every day, freshly prepared by our professional catering team.
