Meet our staff

At the Ferring Society we are lucky to have a great team of staff and volunteers, providing the highest standards of care within a ‘home from home’ environment. Along with this the Sheltered Home is also run by diligent and caring staff who offer the best possible service for our residents.

Many members of our professional staff are long serving employees (10 years or more) which is testament to the fact that they are happy in their work and genuinely care about our residents.

We are fortunate to have excellent volunteers who give their time to make a positive difference to our residents’ daily lives, whether sharing their skills, helping on trips, lending a hand or just chatting.

As a charitable organisation we would like to hear from anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer.

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield home will always offer residents the opportunities to get involved in activities and entertainment as much as they want.

We offer opportunities for residents to partake in a number of activities and events. We understand the importance of our residents emotional and physical well-being and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Our staff will always do their best to involve all residents and cater for any restrictions they have.
