About the property

Rogers House accommodates 41 residents in 37 single en suite rooms.

A purpose built care home registered in 2002, Rogers House features an extensive garden and an activities centre, which residents are encouraged to make the most of.

Regular activities and outings are arranged by a dedicated activity co-ordinator, and there are opportunities for residents to pursue hobbies and to help with the gardening.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with soft furnishings, and may also bring in telephones, TVs and radios.

Meet our staff

Our staff are incredibly dedicated to the society and its’ residents and our annual Spirit of Abbeyfield award recognises when staff go the extra mile within their job. Essentially the award is "The manifestation of the commitment to the Society which is significantly and clearly greater than could be reasonably expected in the course of one's duty or normal contact with the organisation."

We launched our Care Academy in March, something designed to give training, development and general support to its own staff and to external students who are attending course at college on health and social care subjects.

We are dedicated to supporting our staff and offering them the opportunity of further training and progression within our society.

Activities

We believe in enjoying later life and an Abbeyfield home will always offer residents the opportunities to get involved in activities and entertainment as much as they want.

We offer opportunities for residents to partake in a number of activities and events. We understand the importance of our residents emotional and physical well-being and keeping active and enjoying later life is crucial to this.

Our staff will always do their best to involve all residents and cater for any restrictions they have.
