Abbeyfield House in Reading is a family based Home which works on the basis that the Home belongs to the residents and that as well as caring for them staff are all dedicated to encouraging their independence and their right to make decisions both on the running of the home and the way they would like to live their lives. We are always open to suggestions from residents, staff, families and other visitors which will improve Abbeyfield House.

This home accommodates 28 residents in 28 single rooms (28 en suite). It is purpose built and has a garden, and was registered in 1996. Overnight visitors can usually be accommodated with an advance booking. Residents may bring their own furniture. There is a lot of flexibility about meals. Activities are arranged daily.
