Weekend Housekeeper, Stevenage, Hertfordshire

We are looking to recruit a permanent Weekend Housekeeper to assist with the running of the home at weekends. Your team is the engine room of our operation. You will be responsible for supporting a number of activities, undertaking the laundry duties, and carrying out all domestic activities necessary, to ensure our elderly residents enjoy a safe, clean and tidy environment.

Location: Linden House, 2 Pound Lane, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 3JA
Salary: £10.35 per hour
Hours: Weekends Part Time Permanent - Saturdays/Sundays 09.00am-13.00pm, 14.00-18.00pm 

Stevenage is located near the town centre with parking for staff at the front of the building. We have 9 residents and the house has a very warm, homely feel.

We want to keep all areas of our care home as welcoming as possible. Every resident should enjoy a clean and well maintained environment that is presented to the highest standard and this role is key to this. You will work within the housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager. These duties may cover cleaning of the residents bedrooms, the communal areas and offices.

You respect residents' wishes and preferences and work well as part of a team to ensure all residents' needs are met in relation to housekeeping. You are responsible for the use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning products and use these in line with agreed budgets and COSHH requirements. You aim to reduce wastage and report any defects in a timely manner.
