Maintenance Operative, Girton Green, Cambridge

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative at our house in Girton Green, Cambridge. As one of our highly valued team members, you're at the front line of delivery. You’ll ensure all day-to-day repairs and maintenance to all areas of the property and grounds are efficiently completed and well-maintained to ensure that all residents’ health, welfare and enjoyment needs are fully met.

Hourly Rate: £11.00 - £11.97 per hour depending on experience

Hours: 12 hours Perm Part Time - Mondays & Tuesdays 9am to 3pm

Location: Girton Green, Wellbrook Way, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, CB3 0GQ

Located in the community of Girton, just on the outskirts of Cambridge, Girton Green was built in 2012 providing 76 one, two, or three-bedroom modern, high quality apartments for sale and rent in a welcoming and vibrant community led development.

Your role is to ensure that all areas of the house are maintained and in good working order to meet all Health and Safety and Environmental Health requirements. Your tasks may include: completing and maintaining the day to day repairs and maintenance of the building and its environment, painting and decoration to rented flats as they become void, assisting our older residents with tasks such as replacing light bulbs and hanging mirrors/pictures, routine maintenance checks on specified equipment on a regular basis and responsibility for keeping the grounds and garden tidy. 

You will also be required to undertake testing within policy and procedure for fire checks and relevant health and safety policies and maintain good relations with nominated contractors for repairs and servicing as agreed with the Manager.
