Housekeepers, Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire

We are looking to recruit a bank/casual and a part time Housekeeper in Gloucestershire to assist the running of Abbeyfield house in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Bank/Casual & Part time 27 Hours available 

Day to day you will be preparing a home cooked meal and supper, ensuring that the high standards and record keeping are maintained to keep our 5 star ratings. You’ll be working with residents to access specialist services and social activities. There are regular safety and property checks required to be carried out on a daily, monthly and yearly basis that you will be trained to carry out to maintain the property and ensure residents repairs are carried out promptly. Alongside these day to day tasks you have the flexibility to introduce activities for residents and support the annual Abbeyfield week event.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of older people, experience of working with the public and an ability to work on own initiative. It is essential that you are a competent cook and a Food Hygiene Certificate qualification would be desirable. But above all, you care as much as we do and you’re passionate about making all the difference for older people.

Alistair Robertson House sits in the heart of the village of Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire and also known as the Venice of the Cotswolds. The house was renovated and can now accommodate nine residents in private self contained rooms over two floors and in one self contained cottage.
