Hours: Part time, 13 hours per week (Bourton on the Water, Weds, 9-6 and Stow on the Wold, Sun, 9-2)
We are a charity providing providing high quality housing accommodation and championing the needs of elderly people. We believe in making time for older people to enhance their quality of life. For us that means engagement with our residents; chatting and listening without worry for time pressure.
We all share the same values; caring, honest, open and respectful; putting the needs of our residents first.
Bourton-On-The-Water and Stow-On-The-Wold houses are both located close to the town centres and offer a picturesque location for the 9 residents in each house. We offer support to residents including home cooked meals prepared daily and friendly advice and support to live independently. The role is based at Bourton-On-The-Water on Wednesday and Stow-On-The-Wold on a Sunday.
You’ll be working across 2 teams comprised of House Keepers and General Assistants. The teams work together to ensure consistency for residents and provide support to each other.
Day to day you will be preparing a home cooked meal and supper, ensuring that the high standards and record keeping are maintained to keep our 5 star ratings. You’ll be working with residents to access specialist services and social activities. There are regular safety and property checks required to be carried out on a daily, monthly and yearly basis that you will be trained to carry out to maintain the property and ensure residents repairs are carried out promptly. Alongside these day to day tasks you have the flexibility to introduce activities for residents and support the annual Abbeyfield week event.
