House Keeper, Kew, Richmond, Surrey

We are looking for a House Keeper at Palmer House in Kew, Richmond to provide a clean and welcoming environment for our residents. You will be part of a team who take pride in the cleanliness of the home. You are an asset to your team and your impact reaches beyond the kitchen. There are plenty of opportunities for you to get to know our residents, enhance their meal time experience and develop your hospitality skills.

Location: 1 Ennerdale Road, Kew, Richmond, Surrey, England, TW9 3PG

Salary: £10.71 per hour.

Hours: 15 hours per week

To ensure all aspects of the house(s) is run smoothly and efficiently

Proactively encourage residents to be involved in the house; welcome and encourage their participation in activities. 

Ensure that all communal parts of the house are clean and tidy, and that the garden is well-maintained.

Provide a catering service (provision, preparing and serving) in line with the Safer Food Better Business Guidelines that caters for the residents in occupation, ensuring their dietary needs, tastes and preferences are met

To assist cook in serving of main meal and clearing away afterwards. To report to House Manager and to enter into maintenance book any household faults or equipment failure. To be aware of Health and Safety including COSHH regulations and Fire procedures, and to attend staff meetings and where possible fire drills.To help create a supportive, homely and secure environment for the Residents and to regards their welfare at all times.

Understand and observe fire safety regulations and procedures and carry out a regular fire alarm practice.

To act in accordance with Abbeyfield Values, Policies and Procedures at all times

Palmer house is  based in Kew and is a lovely home from home with a warm , friendly atmosphere. It boasts a beautiful garden for enjoyable days outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Our assisted living home provides residents with privacy of their own affordable , high quality accommodation combined with companionship of the other residents.
