Activities Co-ordinator, Phil Mead House, Binley, Coventry

We are looking to recruit an Activities Co-ordinator, for arranging activities within the home, encouraging residents to continue to participate in activities they enjoy, coordinate activities for residents and networking within the local community.

Location: Bredon Avenue, Binley, Coventry

Hours: 16 Hours per week

Salary: £9.12 per hour

At Phil Mead we are very proud of our long standing team at the home, who continue to work alongside the Home Manager to drive the care that is provided to be better and better each day.

We have an array of activities to suit different interests and hobbies. We need a good full time Activities Coordinator who organises daily activities including:

• Exercises
• Craft making
• Quizzes
• Gardening
• Entertainers such as singers, dancers and musicians
• Fundraising

Ensure that all programmes continually meet the needs of each individual resident, reviewing and amending when necessary to meet changing needs, Motivate, support and supervise other members of the staff team to enable them to contribute to planned activities, Work in partnership with volunteers in activities, ensuring individual skills and expertise are effectively utilised.

Ensure that Abbeyfield policies and procedures are followed at all times. Uphold the Abbeyfield ethos and represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

To organise a variety of weekly activities in line with resident’s preferences, support the Home Manager to build community links with the local community.  Organise outings for residents as well as arranging external entertainers for events.  Record keeping of the residents participation and experience of the activity or event.
