Kitchen Assistant, Burnham Court, Malmesbury, Wiltshire

You will assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents.

Salary: £9.00 per hour.

Hours: 21 hours per week.

You will assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean and hygienic and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.

You are an asset to your team and your impact reaches beyond the kitchen. There are plenty of opportunities for you to get to know our residents, enhance their meal time experience and develop your hospitality skills.

Meal times are really important to our residents and your role is crucial to making them as enjoyable as possible. You are committed to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen, during the food preparation process and meal delivery. You therefore manage the cleaning procedures and schedules for the kitchen in line and even exceeding the relevant Environmental Health standards and those expected by the Cook

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of older people, experience of working with the public and an ability to work under their own initiative. A Food Hygiene Certificate qualification would be desirable but above all you must care about making a difference to the lives of older people as much as we do.
