At Abbeyfield we aim to support residents to live independently providing two freshly cooked meals per day. You will be responsible for cooking, resident plans, supporting activities and fundraising as part of the team. All training will be given and you will have regular supervision, reporting to the House Manager.
At Lee House, we have 27 en-suite bedrooms many of which have a balcony or patio doors which look out onto our beautiful garden. We pride ourselves on being a home away from home, with a very cosy atmosphere and friendly caring staff who are available 24 hours a day.
We have clean, bright decor throughout and ensure Lee House is always kept meticulously clean thanks to our very friendly domestic and maintenance staff. Lee House uses any excuse to have a party! And just to have some fun.
You will be responsible for the preparation of fresh, locally sourced food on site in our commercial kitchen. You will need to have or be prepared to completed a Level 2 in food hygiene and maintain standards in line with Safer food, better business.
The boss is very flexible, helpful and is not afraid to roll her sleeves up and get stuck in, good at baking and climbing mountains for a good cause. A team of caring & friendly staff who will help out where needed no matter what their job role is.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of older people, experience of working with the public and an ability to work on own initiative. But above all, you care as much as we do and you’re passionate about making all the difference for older people.
