Senior Care Assistant, Kenton House, Harrow, Middlesex

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Care Worker in Harrow, to help us provide excellent quality care for the residents living in our Kenton House Care Home. We want motivated and engaged people to support the team in providing the very best for our group of residents.

Senior Care Assistant

Hours 7.30am - 2.30 early shift and 2pm - 9pm late shift including weekends

Closely supporting the Home Manager, you will oversee the delivery of person-centred care and regularly review individual care plans and risk assessments. At the same time, you will administer medication, train and develop colleagues and build respectful relationships with residents.

With a flexible approach to hours and responsibilities, you will possess an appropriate NVQ and a good track record as a carer. This will have given you everything you need to operate with minimal supervision, backed by an organised but empathetic manner, real understanding of the issues and challenges facing older people and enthusiasm for gaining additional skills and qualifications.

Working with the operations manager to ensure the preparation, implementation, review and update of all residents support plans. Supporting and caring for all residents, ensuring that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met while maintaining dignity, choice, independence and respect.

Preferably having experience within a supervisory role within a health or social care setting working with older people, ability to work using your own initiative and under pressure in a diverse and changing environment.

Ability to work to a high standard at all times.
