Senior Care Assistant (Days), Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent

We are looking to recruit a permanent, part-time experienced Senior Care Assistant (Days) to join our dedicated team at Hale Court, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Location: Hale Court, 7 Culverden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN4 9QX
Salary: £9.65 per hour
Hours: Permanent Part-Time - 21 hours

Week 2 : Tuesday - Thursday 2pm-9.30pm with 30 minute break each day
Week 1 : Friday - Saturday  2pm-9.30pm/ Sunday 7am- 2.30pm with 30 minute break each day

Hale Court is a new development which opened in 2016. It is a purpose built property consisting of 19 individual flats close to local amenities and bus routes in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The house provides one meal a day to residents and supports them with domestic cleaning each week. Residents live privately in their flats, but have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities that take place throughout the week. There is an in house emergency call system for added security and piece of mind.

Reporting to the house manager, you will be part of a small dedicated team of staff who have a great deal of experience and knowledge within the health and social care and housing setting. Our staff team is flexible and hard-working. You will actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to our residents, ensuring that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met. Responsibilities will include overseeing all the resident care plans in line with their preferences and assisting in the safe control of medication to residents. As a Senior Care Assistant you will also be required to deal with any issues or emergencies relating to our residents, completing paperwork, actioning maintenance related issues, supporting the cook, care assistant and general assistants.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, good organiser and have the ability to work flexibly, both using their own initiative and within a care team. The ability to demonstrate empathy and an understanding of the needs of older people is essential. A compassionate, can-do person with extensive experience supporting older people.
