Night Senior Care Assistant, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

We are looking to recruit a Night Senior Care Assistant at Browns Field House. Closely supporting the Home Manager, you will actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to the residents, ensuring that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met.

Location:25 Sherbourne Close, Cambridge, CB4 1RT

Hours: Fixed Term, Bank or Casual

Salary: £10.90 per hour

Closely supporting the Home Manager, you will actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to the residents, ensuring that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met. Responsibilities will include overseeing all the resident care plans in line with their preferences and assisting in the safe control of medication to residents. Day Seniors/Team Leaders will also be required to assist in the induction and support of new care staff at the home. 

Extensive previous care experience in a similar role in registered care setting, together with an NVQ2 and/or working towards NVQ3 or equivalent is essential. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator, good organiser and have the ability to work flexibly, both using their own initiative and within a care team.

The ability to demonstrate empathy and an understanding of the needs of older people is essential.

Established in 1986, Browns Field House has 28 rooms, as a smaller house, we are very homely and our staff work hard to ensure that we offer a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

One of our main values is being involved in the community and we have established excellent links including using local suppliers to provide the house with fresh produce for our nutritious home cooked meals. Additionally, we have great relationships with our local GP and district nurses who come to visit the house twice a month or as required.
