Abbeyfield, New Malden are looking to recruit Day and Night Care Assistants who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.
New Malden accommodates 36 residents in 36 single en suite rooms. Established in 1999, it is purpose built and recently refurbished. We're a short drive away from the wonderful New Malden High Street, close to bus stops and the train station is 1.5 miles away.
We will support residents in making their own decisions about how they want to live their life. We recognise the importance of maintaining relationships with family and friends and we support residents in pursuing hobbies and interests by offering a variety of activities from in house entertainment to regular outings.
We understand each person’s needs differ so at an Abbeyfield Dementia Care Home our staff offer a personalised approach to care giving, with security, independence and happiness at the heart of what they do.
The role of a Care Assistant involves creating an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming, ensuring that every resident enjoys life with us to the full. Promoting the physical, social, intellectual and emotional well-being of our residents, you will assist in maintaining their independence. Our house manager is honest and fair in her approach to managing her team.
A relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent is preferred, however training will be provided to achieve this if you don't have it.
To you, it’s more than just a job. It’s a role where you happily go the extra mile to make a difference to the lives of older people.
