Rooms are either on the ground floor or the first floor, with the latter being served by a stairlift. Each room has facilities for residents to prepare their own breakfast and refreshments requirements. TV points and telephone lines are in all rooms. The property has gas central heating and a Hanover alarm and door entry system provides 24 hour security and emergency support cover.

In addition to their own room, residents have access to a communal dining room, a lovely sun lounge overlooking the garden, which has a covered sitting area, a laundry room, and a visitor's overnight room (if available).

Rental charges are inclusive of a bed sitting room, with en suite or private bathroom facilities; central heating; light and power; two prepared meals daily; food for breakfast; cleaning of communal rooms/areas; maintenance of property/garden; Hanover personal alarm and door entry system and the support and services of a committed housekeeping team. Local area

The largely Victorian town of Pitlochry, a popular destination for hillwalking, is located on the banks of the River Tummel in the heart of the beautiful area of Highland Perthshire.

The town has retained many stone-built Victorian buildings and the main street has an unusual period cast iron canopy over one side. Pitlochry is well known for its Theatre in the Hills and also offers a wide range of activities to help people new to the town to meet new friends.

Local amenities

Sunnybrae is towards the north end of Pitlochry's main street, Atholl Road, and next door to Westlands Hotel. It is set well back from the road, sheltered by an attractive and substantial garden.

The centre of Pitlochry, only about 300 yards away, is where most shopping needs can be met, including banking and postal services. A further 300 yards takes you to the public library. A doctors' practice and two dental practices are based in the town together with a cottage hospital and a care home.

Transport

The house is situated just off the A9 some 25 miles north of Perth, while Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness are each about 1.5 hours away by road and also accessible by rail.

Local and long distance bus and rail services pass through Pitlochry and these are only a short walk or taxi ride away from our house.
