About this property

Situated in a quiet location, this is a modern house, built in 1983 and renovated in 1994, with comfortable ground floor accommodation for eight residents. The house has a large garden with spectacular views, a small patio and private parking.

This very sheltered accommodation is of a high standard. Most rooms are either ensuite or have a bathroom or shower close by for your personal use. Rooms are unfurnished so that you can provide your own furniture and private possessions.

A communal living/dining room means that the house is very sociable and you can have as much company as you like. We also have an attractive garden where residents can sit out and enjoy the sunshine.

Two nutritious home-cooked meals are provided every day by our house manager, using fresh locally sourced produce where possible, and residents have facilities in their own rooms for making breakfast and refreshments.

The house has access to a community alarm service, so you can always contact someone for help, even when our staff are away from the site.

Local Area

Killearn, which means Church of Ernan in Gaelic, is a small village in Stirling. Glengoyne whisky distillery and the Endrick Water river are both close by.

The village lies within the Campsie Fells and is only a few miles from the peaceful and beautiful Loch Lomond, the Trossachs National Park and the West Highland Way. Glasgow is about 15 miles south.

Abbeyfield Killearn is situated near to public transport, local shops and the town centre.

Life at the House

Our supported house provides companionship when you want it and a carefully designed support service when you need it. Staff assess your individual needs to determine what level of support you need, while allowing you to retain as great a level of independence as possible.

We have a wonderful team of volunteers who help organise activities, provide transport for health appointments and offer a friendly ear if you just feel like having a chat.

Activities and events

Activities such as coffee mornings, arts and crafts afternoons, and exercises, especially geared towards older people, are organised on a regular basis.

We also arrange day trips and outings to local attractions.
