Baroness Julia Neuberger DBE, was elected President of Abbeyfield at the company's AGM on 23rd September 2009.
The AGM, which was held at the Royal College of Physicians in London, saw Baroness Neuberger take the place of Rt Hon Baroness Virginia Bottomley. Baroness Bottomley is now a Patron of Abbeyfield. Newly appointed Vice-Presidents are Michael J Staff, former Chairman of Abbeyfield, and Ron C Kenyon, OBE.
New appointments to the Board include John Robinson as Chairman and new trustees Ian Plaistowe, The Rt Rev, Dr Christopher Herbert and Keith Fowler.
