Abbeyfield Wessex, Bournemouth 

In October 2007 the Abbeyfield Wessex Society began work on the redevelopment of their Poole Road house in Westbourne, Bournemouth. We are pleased to offer a first glimpse of the new Westbourne House which will open to residents in autumn 2009.

Westbourne is a popular and fashionable area with a unique mix of boutiques, cafes and small shops. Boasting an elegant Victorian Arcade dating back to 1884, Westbourne is an easy, flat walk away. For entertainment, larger shops, pleasant walks and award winning beaches, Westbourne House is on the bus route to both Bournemouth and Poole town centres.

The purpose built accommodation comprises of 19 one bedroom en-suite apartments and 6 en-suite studios. There are 2 assisted bathrooms available, and there is a passenger lift to all floors. The house will be staffed 24 hours a day, and in addition there is an emergency call alarm system.

As always residents will be provided with 2 high quality home cooked meals, which will be served each day in the large communal dining room. Activities and clubs will be provided for the residents, with an opportunity to socialise with residents from our other houses.
